Transformation mechanismsPRODUCTION STORAGE FACILITY

All models of furniture manufactured at FALKE Möbel factory have a transformable version. The transformation mechanism is an important part in a model determining its comfort for sleeping. Depending on the intensity of a model’s use for sleeping, there are either a guest version (for occasional sleeping) or a causal version (for regular sleeping).
In accordance with a model’s function, its mechanisms differ in construction. This is primarily expressed in strengthening framework and leg elements in casual versions.
For its models, FALKE Möbel uses only Sedac-Mecobel transformation mechanisms delivered from Belgium. They are forward transforming mechanisms.
There are 3 kids of transformation mechanisms used in manufacturing both double-size and King-size sofas:

  1. Mixotoil – a 3-fold transformer designed for a foam-rubber mattress; guest version.

  2. Meratoil – a 3-fold transformer designed for a spring mattress; strengthen mechanics; casual version.

  3. Sedaflex - Sedaflex – a 2-fold transformer designed for a spring mattress; most strengthened; casual version.

The construction and material of the transformer to which a mattress is attached differ for guest and casual versions of any furniture brand. Guest versions are generally made with the use of stretched tarpaulin, while in casual versions stretched veneer battens are used. Experience has shown that such constructions have a common defect: sagging occurs after some time. To avoid this flaw, FALKE Möbel strengthens transformers by using both tarpaulin and battens in all transformers.
